Scheme for Naturalization of
Non-Cypriot investors by exception
As a part of its policies aiming to further encourage Foreign Direct Investment and to attract high net worth individuals to settle and do business in Cyprus the Republic of Cyprus’ Council of Ministers, on the 13th of September 2016, 9 January 2018 and 21st May 2018, further revised the “Scheme for Naturalization of non-Cypriot investors by exception” and, thus, established the new criteria and terms based on which non–Cypriot entrepreneurs/ investors may acquire the Cypriot citizenship.



Requirements
Option #1 Residential Real Estate Investment
This option requires a minimum total investment amount of EUR 2,0 million in residential real estate.
The total investment amount must include a permanent personal residence valued at no less than EUR 500,000. The remaining investment amount of EUR 1.5 million must be made in residential real estate, to be held for a minimum of three years. If the personal residence is valued at EUR 2,0 million or more, then no additional investment is required.
Option #2 Other Investments
This option requires a minimum total investment of EUR 2,5 million.
Part of the investment must be a personal residence purchased for at least EUR 500,000.

The investment asset is allowed to be sold after an initial 3-year holding period, and a property worth € 500,000 Euros should remain under his/her ownership as a residential property.

Permanent Residency

Immigration Permit under regulation (6.2) of the Aliens and Immigration
Regulations, gives you a Non-EU national, the right to permanently reside in
Cyprus



Exempts you from immigration entry procedures (i.e Visitor’s Visa)
Your family can also obtain it (married spouse, children under 18 years old and financially dependent children up to 25 years old)
As of February 2016 the parents of the investor and/or of his/her spouse can also obtain Permanent Residence as dependants
Children over the age of 18 who are not financially depended can also obtain the permit with additional investment.
Requirements
The Permit is granted for an indefinite duration. Applicants must have:
€200.000 of the purchase cost must be settled.
